NHTC Rides Again

For the second consecutive year, NHTC will participate in EXACT CHANGE. The Arts Council of Greater New Haven, in partnership with CT Transit, presents Exact Change, a series of live performances on five bus routes in New Haven. Performances, which include improv-comedy, music and dance, poetry, and theater, take place on Saturday, July 11, between 11am and 3pm, and are free with CT Transit’s regular $1.25 fare. All bus routes terminate at the New Haven Green.

Participating artists include Deborah Elmore, Lansana Touré and Mabinty Keira, New Haven Theater Company, The Viola Question, and Urban Concept.

New Haven Theater Company was resurrected in the summer of 2005 with the mission of creating unique and innovative theatrical projects for new audiences. For this year’s Exact Change program, company members use life-size, bunraku-influenced puppets to tell stories of journeys and travel.

At 11:38am, bus D departs from the BJ’s plaza on Universal Drive in North Haven and travels along the Grand Avenue route on its way to the New Haven Green.
